CHILDREN & YOUTH
Growing in Faith Together
Children and youth aren’t just the future of the church—they are part of the church now. We want young people of every age to know they are valued, to build relationships across generations, and to have space to wonder, ask questions, serve, and grow in faith.

Every age matters
We believe church is richer when generations know and learn from one another. Children and youth need relationships with caring adults, and adults need the questions, energy, creativity, and perspectives young people bring.
That’s why children and youth are part of worship and the wider life of our church—not separated into their own world. We also create age-appropriate spaces where they can build friendships and explore faith in ways that make sense for where they are.
TOGETHER
Faith Across Generations
We believe faith is learned not only through lessons, but through relationships, worship, service, questions, and shared experiences.
Throughout the year, intergenerational worship and other shared experiences give people of different ages opportunities to know and learn from one another.
Growing with you
What participation looks like changes as children grow. Here’s what families can expect at each stage.

INFANT – PRE-k
Our Youngest Children
Infants and young children are always welcome in worship. We don’t currently offer staffed nursery care, and families don’t need to worry about normal movement or noise. Worship bags and children’s materials are available to help little ones participate in ways that work for them.

GRADES K-6
Sunday School
Children begin Sunday mornings in worship with their families. On most Sundays during the program year, they are invited to Sunday School partway through the service and walk with adult leaders across the green to the Emerson Center. Children explore scripture and faith through age-appropriate stories, conversation, activities, and relationships.

GRADES 7-12
Faithworks
Middle and high school youth are invited to take part in the wider life of the church through worship, service, fellowship, and Faithworks. Faithworks typically gathers monthly, with an emphasis on community service, relationships, and exploring what it means to live our faith in the world.
